Pavel Široký is an experienced Prague attorney and the author or co-author of many articles and professional publications. Before joining the law firm of ŠIROKÝ ZRZAVECKÝ, Pavel was involved in many important projects in Prague and the CEE region as part of international law offices, including consulting OMV during the sale of its network of petrol stations to Unipetrol RPA, consulting the American company Värde Partners in their acquisition of the Boscolo Hotels chain, consulting minority shareholders in takeover bids (e.g., Czech Telecom shares), providing advice during the squeeze-out of minority shareholders (e.g., the ArcelorMittal Ostrava metallurgical company), providing advice during large domestic and foreign corporate takeovers, both for buyers (e.g., Next Wave Ventures during their acquisition of the PET bottle manufacturer Rexam Petainer Aš) and for sellers (e.g., KKR in connection with the sale of WMF to the SEB Group, the world's leading manufacturer of small domestic appliances), and providing counsel during court and out-of-court restructuring of domestic and foreign companies, both for creditors or debtors and investors.
